I just realized I never updated this. As of October 2011 I have depression, if you can call my GP agreeing with how I told her I felt and trying to throw meds at me a diagnosis. I would love to get an "official" screening, but it's not possible at this time.

Descrimination: Nobody knows so I have been placed in situations that made me uncomfortable because people were talking about "mentally ill" or "suicidal" individuals in a less than positive way and they didn't realize they were talking about me and/or my family members!

Positive things: I think I have a realization of what's really important and what really matters in life which I wouldn't have otherwise because I'd be wrapped up in small picture type things. I don't really worry about small stuff anymore because once you've been to mental hell and back, little things SO don't bother you anymore.
