Re: When you are bullied..... - April 12th 2012, 09:13 AM

Hey,

For me personally it depends on who it is that's saying the comments. If it's someone I don't know at all or particularly well, it would probably hurt more for them to say it to my face simply because, if they said it behind my back I would see it as just their opinion. It may bother me, but I think everyone is entitled to an opinion. When someone I don't know then brings it up to me and uses it against me directly, I find it hurts me, personally, more.

However if it's someone I know well, I think it hurts just as much whether its to my face or behind my back that they're talking about me. I feel this way because, if I'm close with someone, I'd expect them to accept my flaws and not necessarily have much of a problem with me. If they're talking behind my back I'd feel upset that they didn't talk directly to me, but if they started bullying me face to face, obviously it would hurt anyway.

So I think it really depends, but generally I'd say it doesn't matter how people do it. Either way can hurt someone a lot regardless of who they are or how they go about bullying.

I hope this helped,
Hollie.
