My Girlfriend Thinks She Is Sinning - January 8th 2012, 11:10 PM

My girlfriend is having a rough time dating me. She says she feels so guilty about what she is doing. She says she loves me but she is scared because of her religion. I'm afraid she is going to tell her parents who are extreme Mormans and I am afraid her parents are going to tell my parents. How can I get her to not feel this way? I told her God doesn't hate her and I don't hate her; that's what should matter. But. she is feeling really down.

Later I convinced her that we could go see the school counselor together. I'm pretty sure the counselor can't legally tell our parents what is going on. But, I'm afraid that they will be informed about our relationship. I think it is the right thing to go to an adult for this because she needs to talk to someone about this. If you are having a relationship with the same gender, the counselor won't tell your parents if you don't want them too right? I'm a worried about this whole situation. Am I doing the right thing? What should I do differently?
