Whether or not his penis is larger than average or not if sex is painful or uncomfortable because of size the advice is the same. The main thing I recommend is lube. Foreplay, mostly focused on you (yes you can use this as an excuse to be a bit selfish during foreplay  ) and as said above masturbation inbetween sex will help keep you active. Also you have to be 100% relaxed when having sex, if you are nervous worried because you are expecting it hurt you will tense up which will just make is more painful or uncomfortable.
