Honestly I think you should buy/make her something that will make her feel special. Something that will make her smile. Little things make girls happy. I promise. So something that interests her, no matter how small or how much money you spend (or don't spend) shouldn't matter. As long as it comes from the heart that's all that truly matters.

For the record, all the things you mentioned sound like a good idea. Especially the coat because she's always cold or the video game because she likes them. See, the thought counts.
