Wait, wait! I'm not finished yet, either.
Well, I suddenly had this great big whale of a realization slap me upside the head.
I realized that if I was with someone, whether I liked them or not, it would be hard to break up with them and see them so upset. You never broke up with anyone before me, and you thought I'd broken up with you, anyway.
If I was with a girl who 'loved' me like you say your girlfriend does, I'd want to stay with her, too. I must admit. Even if I loved someone else, being with that person would make me feel... Loved, too. Stepping off of solid ground into a rotten canoe definately would not be my first choice, either.
But still, I'm mad at her for your sake.
