How can I meet other lesbians/more of the lgbt community? -
November 11th 2010, 09:37 PM
I'm the only lesbian at my school.
Our 'lgbt' community consists of four people.
- Me,
- my two friends Braedyn and Mark (who are dating), and
- Alexandra (a bi girl who is three years younger than me).
That's it.
I've gone out on three dates with a girl named Michelle. But that didn't work out.
I know two other lesbians outside of school.
- One of which is my best friend
- the other an 'enemy' of sorts.
What I want to know is how I can meet more of the queer community.
I would love to meet more lesbians, so I won't feel so lonely all the time.
I have supportive straight friends, but they just don't get it.
I want the chance to meet a girl I can take on dates, really.
I want to know more kids in high school who are struggling with the same things I am.
Our school doesn't have a gsa.
Braedyn, Mark, and I had tried to start one at the beginning of the semester, but we were quickly shot down.
I don't know how to meet people like me.
Any advice?
