Hey there 
God is really important to me as well, so I see your conflict.
Personally, I think you will be MUCH happier if you stay away from it until you're married. I've known a LOT of people who don't wait and are Christians and regret it later.
Of course, pray about it. See what God says. Also, talking to a pastor or leader of your church or a mentor or something...see what advice they have to give you. I know that having spiritual support can be really fantastic.
