The only time I've had well... no bad side effects was when I passed out for 10 hours or so drunk, no hangover, nothing...
My head had a kind of whine to it the next day though, I felt a bit confused, and as I remember my hearing was slightly affected, but in terms of how I could have felt, I had no aches or pains...
Im jus' saying, from my limited experience, if its badly affected your hearing, I'd get it checked out
... But it could be due to loud music, loud noises, or something else completely un-alcohol related
