This might be completely irrelevant, what Lizzie said is right. But I read a book a while ago called 'Are You There God It's Me Margaret' by Judy Blume which is about a girl searching for a religion that she could 'feel' God in.
In this book, she went to temple with her grandmother, and to church with one of her friends. She basically experienced a couple of different religions to try and find out which one felt right for her.
I can't actually remember how the book ended or what her final decision was, but it was a good read and certainly helped me a little with religious conflict.
Good luck with this
