Statutory rape is almost never enforced without someone going to the police. So unless you're afraid the other person, or their parents, will say something, it isn't worth obeying. The law is there more so that a 13 year old can't have sex with an 18 year old who might convince her/him to have sex, because even though that is consent, it is probably coercion more than anything else. The issue of a 15 year old and a 17 year old isn't really the point, and most states have sublaws that allow people within 2 years of each other to be together without any trouble.
