Hey,

Even though your parents found out, I'm glad you stopped self harming. That is something huge that you should be proud of, and so should your friends. I started after my friend started self harming too because it was "helping" her, even though that's truly not the case. It then became an addiction from there, so I get what you mean.

You can't control your friends' actions though, so if they do start self harming again it is not your fault. It's important that everyone involved has coping mechanisms outside of relying on another person in case something happens where you can't get in touch with that friend.

Here are alternatives you can use if you start to get the urge to self harm again. Maybe once you get back to school after holiday you can share it with your friends if you see them at lunch or in class.
