I believe you. Partially because you have given more than a few examples of why you are telling the truth. Mostly because I grew up walking on eggshells as well. My mom loved me very much, but not enough to protect me from a monster I was warning her about. My dad...well...my dad wore his mask for as many people as physically possible. He wore it for everyone, except the ones he supposedly loved the most. And people outside my house didn't believe me because "He would never do something like that." Except he would in fact do that many times.

I don't know what the answers are. I still don't all of these years later. I do know one thing, you can't give up. Time will pass whether we want it to or not. Don't let others force a mask on your face. You will be okay, trust me. That's coming from someone who barely made it out alive.
