Hey Eric
I'm glad that your sister is doing okay. I think it's totally normal for children of that age to not be aware or conscious of the fact that other people have things going on, but they do tend to move on pretty quickly. It's lovely that you care about how she's reacting to this and I am sure that the love and care you have for her will mean she feels very secure most other times, which is the main thing here. All you can really do is explain these things to her. With time she will begin to understand more that people will come back and that they still care.
