Okay, I'm not going to sit here and be sad enough to think you didn't ask me out, because I think things fit together well enough to support that despite the fact that we haven't been able to do anything together yet. But why would you ask me out if you're planning to spend a lot of your summer traveling? Especially when I'm leaving for a different college in the fall? I don't want to be the kind of guy to tell their (probable soon-to-be) significant other that they can't do something they have a passion for, but at the same time, it sucks that it could end up working out that something starts between us, and then suddenly a week or two later, I have to say goodbye while you go running off around the country. I'd be willing to work with the distance involved in the fall, because it wouldn't be hard for me to come home and it wouldn't be a long trip if you wanted to come up and visit me, but I'd like to have the summer to spend time with you before we have to throw distance into the equation.
