What I found upon searching is that plain, unsweetened yogurt is sometimes used for vaginal sex but may cause irritation or infection if not properly cleaned out, so taking precaution there would be recommended. The vagina has its own pH that can be thrown off.
The anus also has its own natural pH balance that can be thrown off by inserting food type items into it. A thrown off pH can lead to irritation or nasty infection, just like with the vagina.
The other issue is that it’s hard to know if you’ve cleaned out all of the food from your anus. If it’s not all out once you’re done, it may lead to irritation or infection.
I also wouldn’t recommend inserting a whipped cream can into your anus if that was your plan. The air pressure may not be good for your colon. If you put it in too far you also actually risk losing it inside of you where you’d have to head to the ER to have it removed.
It may be best to stick with body-safe lubricants or toys that are made specifically for anal play. But when you’re in doubt over something like a food item, your doctor may be able to answer or tell you where to find the answer. I know it may be embarrassing but they’d much rather answer than have to treat you for an infection later.
