Hi there, thanks for reaching out! I would suggest try brainstorming different ideas relating to each topic, perhaps do some free-writing for a ten or fifteen minute period, and see what you can come up with. Since it seems like this essay has to fit your major, maybe try to gear your topic so it aligns with that, even if vaguely. Wishing you the best of luck and I hope you get accepted!
