There typically all of the same colours. Like black, white or gray. Very plain socks that are higher up than ankle socks. Most employers want employees to wear this type of sock either in all black or white for their uniform. I personally, don't like them.
I have wool socks that are about the same length as a crew sock; there definitely not the same thing. I find crew socks uncomfortable and they become worn fast (even my ankle socks) the material they use I really don't like it as it sticks to your feet.
