I've had norovirus, a pretty contagious foodborne illness. It's super contagious, though, and I got it from my niece who probably picked it up from a changing table. So, not the traditional route.

There's the possibility my sister gave me food poisoning once because I got sick after eating her homemade yogurt, but it could have been a coincidence as well because I developed a migraine after.

48 million people in the US get food poisoning yearly. Depending on the source I look at it's 1 in 6 or 1 in 7 people. Chances are if you've had a stomach bug, it may have been food poisoning! Of course, that's not always the case.
