Re: Future -

Hey there, thanks for reaching out! I'm sorry you're struggling and thinking about the future when everything is filled with unknowns can certainly bring our mood down. I think it's important to focus on the present, what we have in this moment, what we can do in the upcoming days and weeks. If we get too far ahead of ourselves, think about what we want of our dreams and the future, we start thinking about all the negatives. "I won't be able to do this," "This is never going to happen," "I'm getting to old to...," and so on forth.
Perhaps something you can do is focus on the immediate future and set goals for yourself. What do you want to accomplish in this semester at university? What skill do you hope to achieve at work? Working on the little things, focusing on those tasks in the immediate future will turn into something big in the long run — over the course of months, years, even decades.
Don't look at where you want to be in another twenty years. Look at what you hope to get done in the next twenty days.
I would give therapy another chance. There are so many therapeutic forms out there that it's going to take time to find one that fits your needs. Do you have a primary care doctor you can speak to about this? In the US, we have this website called "Psychology Today" but I am not sure if there's an equivalent in your country; but you can narrow down therapists in your area using filters, and this can help find what you're looking for.
Of course, you can always reach out to us on TeenHelp. I'm wishing you the best of luck.
