[FONT=""][COLOR=""][SIZE=""]My parents are low income and I am soon to be 16, I'm not in education but am studying towards going to college. I will be recieving disability living allowance of about £300 a month, my parents get about the same each in carers allowance even though they do no more than any other parent would for me. and out of my £300 I have to pay for all of my food, hygiene products, sanitary towels, travel etc. On top of that they want me to pay towards the internet that I use that they currently pay for, electric as it's expensive, water etc. I've got no idea if the money is even meant to go towards paying for those things or if my parents are required to pay out of their own pocket. It does state on the government website that the disability living allowance is for the extra costs of looking after a disabled child. They also want me to save some of it, what a joke?[/size][/color][/font]
