Hello,
I know you posted this a little while ago but I hope you don't mind me adding something.
Someone above mentioned that many of these people are capable of truly horrible things, and they are. Harming others is wrong, but some will go further to make sure victims are quiet. It can escalate a lot faster and go further than you might otherwise think.
Did you get around to trying some journaling? I hope you find it helpful when you do try it.
