Re: My Mental Health - March 30th 2021, 11:01 AM

I've very sad you've been going through such hard and emotionally difficult times where it feels like you're on a see-saw, up and down, up and down. But if you can away into the type of work that would suit you better, physically and mentally, it's import you don't overdo your strength. If we overstretch, and I've been guilty of this, then we pay for overdoing that which our mind and body cannot cope with.

I hope you will be able to cut back and give yourself some slack, though life tends to get in the way of our plans, the most important of all is getting enough sleep.

I wake up in the middle of the night often upset, had a bad dream etc, but I go make a cuppa tea, and then lie down. It worked, and continues to. Sleep not only repairs the body my doctor said, but also she said that sleep repairs the mind. My doctor continued stressing how important it was to come away from our computers, which we're often we're addicted to, and get back into a regular sleep pattern because sleep is healing.

So you're working on 3 scholastic subjects? That must be difficult trying to slot in time, so I hope again you won't overstretch yourself in your studies. Can you take short walks in-between studies? I've found that helps clear the mind somewhat.

Keeping a sleep diary helps. I'm keeping note in an A6, one-page-a day pocket notebook and over the weeks been finding real benefit. I look back to the psychotic state I was in compared to present. More sleep has really helped, and I hope you will consider this for yourself.

You're in my thoughts and prayers. Take care, and let's chat later.
