But it is hoped - and dreamed - that we will be able to return next year in 2021.

My first experience with Burning Man echoed Julie's: Fascination, excitement and a great sense of belonging. Like so many, we found ourselves. So I decided to share some videos of Burning Man we went to, the first being what it stood for.

It's not an event, neither is it a rave. Just 70,000 people coming together for a party 24/7 for a week, and one of the greatest nights we had was with Jan Blomqvist (live) aboard The Mayan Warrior Bus.

I was there down below in the sand, off-center-left looking tanned and sandy in black and loving every minute of it with Julie closeby. Maman, too, dancing down below, but closer to the bus, wearing a basque and a Burning Man hat and waving a red fan like a lunatic, happy as Larry! Nevermind the dust storm that swept past! Wearing silver goggles and face protectors we kept on dancing and didn't care a hoot!

There are hundreds of Burning Man videos on You Tube, most very good and in 4K.

We came home changed people. Julie and I found ourselves, as was Maman. And then year later, Covid had struck. But we have hope, every one of us now that vaccines are being rolled out. So maybe we'll see you again at Burning Man 2021. Happy New Year!

The Jan Blomqvist link doesn't work (my bad!) so there it is again:
