Re: When COVID-19 is gone... - December 18th 2020, 12:27 PM

[Moderator: This post contains unverified medical information that may or may not be accurate, therefore caution is advised.]

Covid-19, the mutant of Coronavirus which incidentally is part of the common cold, is not going to go away. We are being vaccinated against the present, but according to our doctor, this time next year people be given vaccinations against Covid-19's mutations, plus flu-vacs because influenza mutates just a little bit differently.

Present flu-vacs contain inactivated Surface Antigens of the following:
A/Guangdong-Maonan/SWL1536/209 (H1N1) pdm09-like strain (A/Victoria/2454/2019 IVR-207) 15mcg HA

A/Hong Kong/2671/2019 (H3N2)-like strain (A/Hong Cong/2671/2019 IVR-208) - 15mcg HA

and B/Washington/02/2019-like strain (B/Victoria/705/2018 BVR-11 - 15mcg HA

Individually we'll be enjoying ourselves with celebrations across the world as each nation celebrates. Meanwhile coronavirus will be quietly mutating into another variant stemming from Covid-19.

Once worldwide vaccinations are given out, people will relax, assuming the virus will vanish. But it will be back in the colder months.

According to my doctor, a virologist, every year everyone will need to be vaccinated against new strains. She hopes everyone will enjoy themselves, but she suspects our world will never be the same again.

Once the UK grinds back to normal in the spring, unless a 4th wave hits as well it could, my fam and I will return home to Monaco.
