I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt here and assume this has good intentions. But if someone says they have been abused, traumatized, have no support, no resources, are losing basic human rights, and are extemely suicidal, I strongly recommend never saying this kind of thing. Because I can't think of a single reason to be okay, let alone something as ridiculous as happy, when not a damn thing in my life is okay right now. My life has never been worse. I fought hard for a decade and a half to be happy while being abused, traumatized, and poor, and it doesn't work like that. Please don't say stuff like this to suicidal people, as this adds to guilt for not being happy despite our lives being so bad that the only thing we can focus on is how death would be best.
