Yes, I've been wearing glasses since the age of 10!
My current ones are purplish in colour. I switched to Crizal lens in 2013 and my power has stabilised since (although I was around 16 at that time when people usually stop growing anyway).
No need to feel disappointed about it, I think most people in our generation need to wear glasses at some point or the other, especially since we use gadgets too. I grew up in Singapore, where the education system is really intense right from a young age, so it has some of the highest rates of myopia in the world - 1 in 4 people (even children) wear glasses
Recently I've been considering getting a LASIK surgery though, because my mom says I need to ditch my glasses if I have to look a little better in order to get married hahaha. But my power is moderate-high and you need to be older than 21 to consider it, though it's a really safe surgery.
Remember to splash your eyes with water after 2 hours of reading/studying/using gadgets, try not to look at your phone in the dark when you're lying in bed or right after you've woke up. Also, this is an age-old remedy for improving eyesight we use in my culture - to eat almonds!
Take care
