As far as I'm aware, there is little evidence to suggest that pineapple or papaya are not suitable for pregnant ladies.

But you are correct that fruit is essential for healthy growth and development. There may be many 'myths' out there and it can be difficult to know what's true and what's not. It's usually best to consult with a doctor or midwife about what foods you can eat and what should be avoided.
