Phone anxiety. - December 26th 2018, 08:53 PM

One of the articles I'd like to write about when I am up to it is one on phone anxiety because I sometimes see posts about it and I have pretty bad phone anxiety unless it's a phone session.

I haven't looked online for ideas to combat it yet. I wanted to brainstorm without looking first. I have:
  • Rehearse the phone call (think about what you're going to say). Try getting yourself into a relaxed state and visualize yourself making a call or answering one without anxiety.
  • Practice with people you're close to. Try calling someone and have them call you at different times of the day. It doesn't necessarily have to be planned. Or make a phone call with someone close to you nearby.
  • Try planning when you're going to call so you can prepare or call spontaneously; 'strike while the iron is hot' kind of thing.

Do you guys have any ideas or maybe know of anything you do if you struggle with phone calls?
