Cutting the split ends is probably the best because it will get rid of all that hair and then your hair will be more likely to grow faster. I know that a lot of the time you can just trim it though so you wouldn't have to get a ton taken off. A lot of the time when I get my hair cut I just trim it maybe take an inch or two off or just clean it up.

If all you did was a hair cut you probably wouldn't need to spend a ton of money. Getting hair done tends to cost more if you dye it etc.

Ah, that's true as well. I used to trim my split ends, but stopped because I don't like cutting my hair. I'm probably going to have to start trimming my hair again. It is hard to not straighten my hair, especially because my hair is naturally wavy.
