Asking your mom not to come to your school as mentioned above is a good idea if you don’t want her there. You could just explain that you appreciate what she wants to do but would rather celebrate with her in the privacy of your own home. If she still decides to come to your school, hopefully your friends won’t make fun of you and if they do as said above they’re not true friends.

Breaking your project up into smaller pieces is a nice technique. You could also ask for help from your mom or your friends to get their input on your work thus far. What if you broke your project up and then did something fun for yourself in between as a break? You could take a walk or do something around the house you’ve been wanting to do, like start a new book or watch a movie. You can do it! You’ll probably feel so much better when the project’s over and done with.
