My first needle felt project - August 31st 2017, 10:26 PM

This is my first needle felt project. Obviously it's a kitty cat <3

Click on the word "this"

Back in 2013, I tye dyed a pair of pants with bleach. I thought they were cool but after a while those paints turned into my work clothes pants so anytime I did a messy project I wore them including at work and got paint on them.
Then when I made this felt project I thought because it was my first one, I don't want to mess good clothes so I felted the cat and then attached it onto the tye dyed jeans and then I realized I like how it turned out but I would have liked it better on nicer jeans rather than work jeans because I'm not comfortable with getting paint all over my felt cat

I cut the square out with the cat and now I have the felt cat with the jeans fabric attached to the back. It is like a rough square but I would have cut the edges to make a clear square, maybe frame a boarder around it so it looks cleaner.

Also my dad and sister said it didn't look nice on those jeans and my dad suggested it would look better on a white background. I don't know why I care what they think but I am still attached to having their validation. That's part of why I cut it off the jeans. But maybe he has a point about a light background with the brown and black.

I do request ideas of what to do with it. My ideas would be that I can either turn it into a door hanger (would've liked to hang it on the wall but dad says Im not allowed)
Another idea is turning it into a bookmark which I'm not 100% sure how to do but I imagine I would add something either to the top or the bottom and the cat would stick out. It isn't the most lightweight thing though

Add velcro and then make velcro accessories <3
Turn it into a finger puppet
if I had a Christmas tree I would've saved it for that but I don't but I'm thinking to like get it on the front door as decoration and have a few season themed decoration, But my family would probably be unhappy with that.

Any ideas are welcomed.
