Is the cat that is tormenting yours owned by a neighbour at all? Perhaps you could have a word with them and see if you can figure out a way to stop that cat getting into your garden so that it will leave yours alone. Do you have food outside for your cat? If so you could try moving it inside so that the other cat has less of an incentive to come back.
Other than this, I'm not sure what to suggest as I have always had indoor cats, but I know that animals including cats sometimes play in a way which can seem alarming to us but is really just play for them. It could be an attempt to dominate territory but nothing more. If it is a problem, talk to a neighbour if you can though. Someone else may have more to add but I hope you figure something out.
