I left your party early because I wasn't expecting him to be there. I can't tell you how my heart stopped beating when I heard you exclaim his name. I was so infatuated with him for three years, and for two years he completely manipulated me. My counselor called it abuse (I don't know if I'd use a word that strong). I left your party early because I had to or I'd break down in front of all of you instead of just in front of my boyfriend. Tonight was the first time he's seen me cry and I didn't realize I was still upset over everything that happened in high school.
