Hey Megan,
First off I want to say that is great that you want to be a teacher. I wanted to be a teacher but change my mind. I have had people tell me that I can't handle the schooling it takes to become a therapist. So I know how it is.
I feel it doesn't matter what other people opinions are. What really matters is that you enjoy it and want it. To me a career isn't about the money it's about the joy, and accomplishments you feel when you are in the job.
I know it's hard to not let others opinions get to you. And not let the comments get to you. I let people get to me all the time. But something I get told is it doesn't matter what matters is you and what you think. So if you enjoy being a teacher that is all that matters.
