I know where I live there are very specific laws about written sexual communication (texts, emails, messenger, letters, etc). The age of consent does apply to talking to minors in a sexually explicit way. So what you did was most likely illegal where you are if the age of consent is 16.

However, the likelihood of this becoming an issue is very slim. Just make sure you refrain from doing anything sexual when you are under the age of consent from now on. It's just not worth the trouble it causes.

But also keep in mind, you lied to someone about your age when engaging in sexually explicit content. This is not cool, because they could get in much more trouble then you if they get found out, in America that is a felony in most states. They would have to become a registered sex offender and be labeled a child molester for the rest of their life. And it's not fair to them that you lied about your age and put them in that position.
