Re: Debunking the myths of anxiety - October 13th 2015, 12:22 AM

Quote:
It is important to be directed as to what to do by the person themselves instead of presuming what they need from you as this could different and could worsen their anxiety rather than helping it.[Dez: I would consider rewording this, though I'm not sure how to. I know what you're saying but the wording is just off.]
What about "It's important to ask how to help someone so what you do is beneficial. Don't assume you know what they need as everyone is different and you could do more harm than good if you're not careful." I didn't read through this completely so if you haven't already, I think you could add something like "If you're struggling with anxiety it is important to communicate your needs to other people so they are better able to help you."

I'll see if I can suggest any edits once you take a look at Dez's.

If clarity's in death, then why won't this die?
Years of tearing down our banners, you and I
Living for the thrill of hitting you where it hurts
Give me back my girlhood, it was mine first
