Re: Prayer Requests Thread - June 22nd 2015, 10:52 AM

Please pray that the wound on my right arm starts healing up, small parts of this large wound have healed but I've had this since April. This wound started off as a small spot and grew to the large wound it is now, I think part of the reason it's having a hard time healing is because when it itches most of the time I end up scratching and tearing up the weak skin, it had actually begun to heal but at times it was so itchy(I just want to point out that when a wound is itchy it means it's healing, unless of course the wound looks and smells infected then you have a problem! But as long as it looks healthy and not infected and doesn't smell bad you're probably okay but I'm no medical expert, all my life I've been told that your wounds itch because they're healing.)I couldn't stop myself and the next thing I know I have to clean up my arm and change the bandage( sometimes it itches so bad I rip off the bandage and scratch. I do have a weekly prescription for antibiotic cream(I saw my doctor and told her about it and at the time I declined her offer to look at it because it wasn't very big and it wasn't bothering me too much but I did ask for the dose of the cream to be increased which she did without a problem) but because the wound area is large and the tube isn't that big if I used it every time I change my bandage(which is two times a day once in the morning and once in the evening, sometimes I have to change the bandage three times a day and the usually only happens on days I don't take my bath which is every other day so currently I take baths on odd numbered days.) I would only have enough cream for 2-3 days so I only use the cream if it looks and feels(like pain or increased itchiness and increased inflammation)like it needs it so when I don't use the cream I use neosporin.
Sorry this is so long I'm just so tired of having to change my bandage and sleep with a towel under my arm so I don't get any fluid(the wound which is basically a bunch of medium small and tiny sized wounds close to each other, weeps all the wounds including the tiny ones tend to weep and sometimes it's so much so that the bandage leaks). on my blankets, I just want to be able to take a regular bath and not wear an arm cast protecter when I bathe I want to be able to sleep comfortably without worrying I want to be able to uncover my right arm and leave it uncovered. Please please PLEASE pray that my arm starts to heal and heals up by the end of July. Please pray! Thank you.
