Are you genuinely suicidal when you get your period? Because, if so, I really think that you need to talk to someone to help with dealing with those thoughts. I do think that, if it is a hormonal imbalance causing it, you may find birth control will help, but it might not resolve it fully if the imbalance is strong enough for you to feel suicidal.
