Re: How are you beating Self Harm? - March 20th 2015, 06:58 PM

I fought self-harm for over 10 years. I never quit until I stopped focusing on how long I went or how long I could go without. I met my fiance a few years back, I've dealt with significant trauma, and I have a therapist I see regularly. I have not hurt myself in a long time. I've had slips in the past few years, but I no longer do it anymore. Sure the urges are still there and probably always will be, but I have a better life now. I've become everything I ever wanted as a human being. Bettering yourself is the key. And it is not easy. It took me years to get to where I am today.
