Because I spent the yesterday and last night with my grandparents, who I love more than anyone else in the world. My grandma and I talked for hours, and my grandpa noticed that I have "two foreheads" (i.e., a broad forehead) like he does, and it made him smile. We shared chocolates and talked about nothing in particular, then we all walked up to the barn and fed the horse together.
My grandma gave me two teacups, because hers were beginning to overflow the cabinet. I brought them home and stowed them inside my bedroom. One day when I have a house of my own, I'll drink from those teacups, and be reminded every time of how wonderful my grandparents are.
They're getting on in years. Sometimes I wake up in the night and realize that they're not going to be with me throughout my entire life, and wonder how life without them will be... But I can't imagine a life without them.
