Look, I get it. It's not attainable, and I'm not worth it. I'm sorry that I can't accept that unyieldingly. I can't even blame you, because either you don't know, or you do know but you don't know what to do about it. Besides which, it doesn't matter anyhow. It's been the same every time.

And if this ambiguity drives you batshit crazy, then good. We'll call it a poorly transitioned metaphor for my entire life.
