nature poem - April 11th 2014, 02:38 AM

The caterpillar slinks
blending in harmony
whispering secrets
in codes.
The leaf, eager to host
receptive, open
welcoming, warm.

Hold on tight to me,
let us dwell in the layers of grass
Once we’re picked up by humans,
hands examin us closely
our safety unknown
what lies ahead, I cannot tell
let us hold on, for all we have
is each other.
