Re: Being a perfectionist addiction - March 20th 2014, 11:43 PM

All humans crave perfection in some form or another. We all like things to be perfect and this is a completely natural part of ourselves. Sometimes when things don't go as planned, we do get angry or feeling down because something we'd planned didn't go as we'd hoped or expected.

There does come to a point however where, if your cravings for perfection hinders your everyday life and you feel you have to have it done perfectly before you can proceed onto other things, this is then something worth addressing to your doctor.

Remember that nothing in life is ever going to be perfect, there's always going to be fault in something and that planning, as much as it's a useful tool, it can also be one of our worst enemies. If you're going to plan, have a backup plan or even have several as a 'just in case' something goes wrong and that way you won't be entirely disappointed when your previous plan falls through because you'll have had another to take its place.
