Some people may feel depressed on the pill but many people do not feel that way. Sometimes even changing the brand of pill will help. In fact, I had the opposite reaction when I went on the pill and I know other people who feel more stable on the pill. So one person's reaction does not mean that you will have the same or even similar reaction.

There are also different formulation of the hormones of pills. Some have only one hormone and others have different levels of hormones. So not all pills are the same.
