Re: dating a girl for the first time: good and bad? - November 23rd 2013, 12:10 AM

Hiii!!

There are no such things as stupid questions btw!

I have ZERO experience dating girls because I am male and gay and I've been out and proud since I was nine and a half years old (I may be exagerating - so never quote me). I'm a rare breed, I know. Even my (on again / off again / on again) boyfriend thinks so. He once told me he had experience dating girls and I asked him WHO and WHEN and he looked right at me and said "You."

Yeah, quite the comedian.

Anyway, enough of that.

I just wanted to say that I don't know if there is going to be anything HUGE different in dating a girl to a guy (other than the obvious). People are complicated and we all have quirks and things that make us unique. And sure, as some people said there will be people who look at you weird at least some point in your life depending where you live (for me, it happens a LOT), but guess what? I don't think you should ever view that as a true con. Because that nonsense is on them and NOT on you. Every time someone gives me grief, I count it as a blessing that I am me instead of them.

I don't know if this was helpful --- my first post. I hope your date goes/went well!!!
