My first poem, "fortune and fame" -
March 2nd 2013, 07:37 PM
My friend Taylor inspired me to start writing poetry.
Her poetry is so honest and beautiful.
This is the first poem I have ever written, (I usually write songs)
please give me feedback, but don't be too harsh lol
This poem is entitled "fortune and fame", and is about the evil side of the music industry, and what people do for fame and money.
It is very personal. It is also about the fear of fame, religion, and how its a shame you can't have both.
Its really short.
I want to live out my fantasies,
I want to live my wildest dreams,
but you must sign the contract with blood not ink,
yes fame is different from what people think.
you look at Katy and think you know,
but shes controlled, programmed to be on a show,
Like Gaga, Rihanna, Marshall finally broke free,
not afraid to say how he really feels.
I know i'll burn in hell if I sign,
so when the devil comes, I must decline,
I could change my every way, meet an early grave,
but its really not worth it for fortune and fame.
.....“You believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself.”.....
