In love with him
 
I have been single for a while now, but I think I have fallen in love with my best friend. I have been hanging out with him a lot more recently, we have been going for coffee and stuff but I am way too nervous to tell him how I feel, I'm also scared that he won't feel the same way. :'(

I was in the same situation a few years back. I ended up writing him a letter confessing my feelings as I was to shy to tell him in person. He didn’t feel the same way but we are still best friends to this day and I’m glad I did tell him as it gave me closure. It is up to you to decide but for me personally, I would rather take the risk than have to live with the “what ifs”. If he does feel the same about you, it may be awkward for a bit but if he’s a true friend, you shouldn’t lose him.

I am going to write him a letter and tell him how I feel. I know either way he will still stay because of how close we already are. I am willing to take a risk to see if he has the same feelings or not. Thank you for the advice. :)

The important thing is to tell him what you feel. Live with and indecision like this is bad.
True, he can deny your request, but who cares? If you never try you will never know it.

I wrote him a letter, I need to give him it tomorrow when we meet up. I am so nervous about all of this.

Hi Michaela,

I'm a little late to this convo but I'm rooting for you!! I'm so happy that you wrote out a letter expressing your feelings.

As someone who has confessed my feelings to a friend (not a bestie though) before, I can assure that it is very liberating, regardless of how things turn out. Remember you did the right thing irrespective of his response.

I gave him the letter. It went great, it turns out he felt the same way and we are going on our first date next week! I am super excited. :D
