My Girlfriend - October 14th 2012, 11:50 PM

So I have a dilemma on my hands. I've been with another bisexual girl for a while, and I am such a hopeless romantic. I've become attached. Thing is, she rarely ever talks to me, and it drives me nuts. I feel like a stalker trying to get something out of her. It hurts. I got sick and told her that I felt like harming myself because her neglect was driving me insane. Then, she decided to call me and talk. She used to talk to me all the time in the beginning, but now I'm lucky to get a single text from her. I feel like I am not good enough. She can't talk to me, but she can tweet or talk to her best friend. She says the reason she doesn't talk to me as much is because she's worried about being caught (she has homophobic parents) and she's busy with college. Plus, she had to take time away from me to convince a cousin who went through her stuff that she was straight.
This is ruining me. Should I give up on her if this hurts me so much?

If you do like her as much as you say you do, I'd wait. I understand that it can be painful, but waiting is better than making an irreversable decision you will live with for a while. I'd trust her word and wait a while.

Honestly, I think for the sake of your own mental health that you should take a break from this girl. Maybe a few years down the line, you will both be out and comfortable enough with your sexualities to pursue a relationship. But for now, all it is doing is driving a wedge between you both and clearly having a negative effect on your mental health. Wait until you are both on the same page and try again. Best of luck Shelby, I hope everything works out in your favour and in the mean time, take care of yourself, it'll be worth it in the long run

Re: My Girlfriend - October 18th 2012, 04:36 AM

Thanks, guys! Here's how it played out:
I got tired of her preferring to hang out with her friends than breathe a word to me. I told her tonight that I was done. I unfollowed her and deleted her number. If she cares, she will say something, but considering she hasn't, I guess she never cared.

I'm crushed, but I know I'm a smart, good-looking girl. Plus I'm bi, so that makes my range wider lol. I'll find another, but it stings a little that she never cared. Too busy with her sorority. -.-
