my fake girlfriend
okay, soooo today i kinda got in a fake relationship with someone which is kiiinda awkward. The awkward part is not the fake relationship because we're both using it to avoid people we don't like but the awkward part is everyone now knows after 2 hrs and their all saying they saw this coming. Now maybe I'm just buggin but i'm feelin more awkward than i should. The girls pretty but shes just a friend and then shes out drawing hearts on windows and what not. Maybe shes just a really good actor buttt i was sorta like uhhhhh your in trouble. Also she has a crazy sister who i'm afraid might kill me. I can't be like nawwww we can't do this now since the whole school knows now and i don't wanna be a dick but can you guys give me some advice on how to pretend to break up with her mutually, but i don't wanna seem like a dick. It needs to last at least 2 weeks. Thank you!

Re: my fake girlfriend
Well if the school just found out then of course they're all talking about it. But if you just wait a week or so, it won't be so new anymore and people will stop caring. So if you're waiting two weeks to "break up" with her, people will probably have forgotten it by then anyway.
But if you still want to pretend to end things, just tell people that you two felt you were better as friends. That's a pretty typical way for friends to break up when its early on, so nobody will really think twice about it. |
Re: my fake girlfriend
Hi
I agree with Nicole. The only reason people are talking about this is because it's new and they've all just found out. Give it a week or two, things will die down and people will find other things to talk about. However if you wish to "break up" sooner, just say that yous just decided to be friends. |
Re: my fake girlfriend
I understand what's done is done, so I'd agree with Nicole on what to do from here.
On the other hand I feel the need to point out that having done this to avoid the attention of people you don't like, you could have avoided this by simply telling those people you were not interested. It seems difficult to straight up deal with these issues sometimes but just being honest tends to end up being the right choice. Lies often drag along a lot more issues that will either eventually blow up when people find out that these things are lies, or that you'll have to cover up with more and more lies. |
